About the Role
Primarily, the Assistant Designer | Decorator will support the Lead Designer by producing complete space planning and visualization drawings using 2020 Design Software. Additional responsibilities include:
• Communicating with existing and prospective clients to arrange meetings
• Preparing and maintaining the designers schedule on a daily and weekly basis
• Shopping for and purchasing different design materials for future use
• Preparing and filing documentation and digital records of each transaction
• Preparing digital designs for various projects and maintains a catalog for all projects undertaken by the designer
• Conducting research for design projects
• Contributing to marketing for the business, products, and services
• Organizing, filing, and managing emails and schedule
Requirements
· Experience with interior design concepts – 6 months to 3 years’ experience
· Experience using 2020 Design, or similar software for space planning and visualization
· Administrative support experience preferred
· Creativity and strong artistic sense
· Excellent verbal and written communication
· Experience using scheduling and customer management tools
· Detail oriented
· Ability to multi-task
